Temples

I like to draw LDS Temples.  Most recently, I drew the Newport Beach California Temple for Melanie Hardman, and I'm so proud of me. :) :) :)

In the past I've drawn a few other temples, this is the Mount Timpanogos Utah temple.  I drew it for my friend Shelby Woodhouse.  It took about 5 hours.

This is the Denver Colorado Temple I drew for my friend Kyndal.  It took about 2 hours.

These next pictures are some progressive shots of me drawing the Newport Beach California Temple.
I always start with drawing the steeple of any temple.

That's right.  I use Harry Potter books to hold the paper in place. :)

I started to outline it in pen here.

BOOM.  Palm Tree.

About halfway done coloring.

Coloring the sky.

Now it's all matted.  Notice the fancy bow I made myself in the corner.

Here's a close up of the picture itself, all done.  Oh, and it took about 6 1/2 hours.

My MouseRat Sketchbook as of Now

So...Here are the drawings that currently reside in my MouseRat Sketchbook.  I named it my MouseRat Sketchbook cuz that's the first drawing in there.  This is how I name all my sketchbooks if you were wondering. ;)

This is the MouseRat.  I actually drew this a few years ago, but I recently went back and touched up its fur a bit.

This is a seal.  I drew this around the same time as the MouseRat, but have recently touched it up.

My amazing TRON Lightbike.  A much better use of Fashion Strategies and Advisory than usual.  =)

The Hogwarts crest.  I did not trace this, if you were wondering.  And I'm pretty sure that's all I'm going to color of it, since I prefer doing just normal pencil drawings without color.  Also, if you were wondering why I signed with a different name, that's my Pottermore account.  I sign all of my Harry Potter themed pictures with my Pottermore username so I can put them on there and not have to edit the picture to blur out my real name, or anything complicated like that.

This is a Star Trek based ship that I kinda just made up.  It looks a little, well, partied up to say, because I was really bored in Physics and it only took a few minutes to draw the basic ship, so I decided to make it look cooler.

This is the Ministry of Magic logo, that's why I wrote 'Magic is Might' at the bottom.  The M looked sad and lonely by itself, which is why I drew all those lines coming out of it.  Cuz those lines don't actually exist in the official logo.

This is Draco Malfoy in his 2nd year.  You can kinda see the mountains from the next picture through the paper, but, oh well....it adds spice =P

I decided to try drawing a picture using just colored pencils (except for lightly sketching the girl).  I like to think that the girl in this picture is Melanie Hardman, who I think is so totally amazing and I look up to her soooo much and she would probably stand like this if she were in this meadow, but it could be someone else you know.  I enjoy drawing colorful settings pulled from my imagination, and, in turn, allow the viewer to use his or her's own imagination to dream about where the picture might be, who the people are that are in it, what they would do if they were there, etc.

This is the logo of the United Federation of Planets from Star Trek.  I've drawn better of this particular symbol, but this is the one that happens to be in this sketchbook.  So there.

That's all that I currently have drawn in my MouseRat sketchbook right now, but I'll put more pictures up as I draw them.  I'm sorry if the picture quality isn't that great, but they were taken with an iPod, so, ya know...
I also have tons and tons of doodles in my math binder, that I will someday get around to taking pictures of, and I have other artwork I've done taped around my room.
